4 Places to Donate Your Used Books

by | April 8, 2019

It’s finally Spring! Have you found some unused books during your spring cleaning? Maybe you’re just wanting some extra space for new books. Whatever your reason, here is a list of where you can donate your books so they can find a new, happy home.

1) Libraries

Libraries often accept donations and sell those books in a book sale fundraiser. They give us books for free, so why not give back to them?

2) Local Thrift Stores

Goodwill and other thrift stores sell more than clothes! Many sell books as well.

3) Children’s Organizations

Children’s organizations are often looking for books to distribute to the children they support. In the Louisville area, you can check with St. Joseph Children’s Home , Home of the Innocents, and the Center for Women and Families to see if they are accepting donations at this time.

4) Schools

Your local elementary school library or classrooms may welcome your books, especially if you’re giving away children’s books.
